KID LIT NEWS
This week has been an extremely difficult one for the nation as we grapple with the legacy of centuries of racism. One of the ways to combat racism is to create spaces for Black writers and creators to make children's books. Here are some resources for and to support Black creators that have been highlighted this week:
- Editors, agents & authors offering services and assistance to Black creators
- 31 Children's books to support conversations on race, racism and resistance
- The Brown Bookshelf Held a Kid Lit Community Rally for Black Lives on June 4, with authors Kwame Alexander, Jacqueline Woodson, and Jason Reynolds
