About the Author-Illustrator: Sarah Kurpiel is the author and illustrator of several picture books, including Lone Wolf, Snake’s Big Mistake, and A Little Like Magic. Her stories are inspired by animals, nature, and moments of wonder in everyday life. Sarah hopes her work brings a bit of happiness into the world—and a bit of disability representation too. When she’s not writing, Joyce reads books by wonderful authors; plays NYT puzzles; and runs a nonprofit organization dedicated to interfaith understanding. About the Illustrator: Gila von Meissner is an illustrator from north Germany who lives with her Israeli cat in a tiny house on a lake. She loves critters, jasmine tea, and chocolate.
