Picture Book Giveaway

We are pleased to host a giveaway of the graphic novel style early reader, Unicorn and Yeti, Razzle Dazzle, by Heather Ayris Burnell, illustrated by Hazel Quintanilla (Scholastic Acorn) out now. Enter to win a copy via the Rafflecopter below.

About the Book: Unicorn and Yeti are about to have some big adventures! Yeti is ready to make s’mores, but first Unicorn has to pack. And Unicorn loves packing! It’s camping vs. glamping as Yeti wonders just how long it will be until they can actually toast marshmallows. When Yeti finds mud it leads the duo to a hot spring. They might not agree on how great the water feels but they do love the fun it brings, and each figures out how to enjoy it in their own way. Then, the big bright moon makes Yeti hungry for cheese, of course. A cheese picnic is in order, but first, a trip to the moon! Featuring three separate stories, Razzle Dazzle is a graphic novel style early reader with fun and whimsical illustrations and color coded speech bubbles with two characters who put kindness first and figure out how to do things together, even when they don’t agree.

About the Author: Heather Ayris Burnell likes writing books that make people happy. If she can make you laugh, even better! Like Yeti, she has lived on a snowy mountaintop, loves camping and s’mores, and was fascinated with the idea that the moon could be made of cheese in her younger years. Unlike Unicorn, she does not love packing and cannot fly, but she does love to have fun adventures with her friends! Heather is a librarian, a farmer, and the co-creator of Sub It Club. She is the author of the 9 book Unicorn and Yeti series published by Scholastic Acorn. Connect with her on Instagram, Facebook, or her website heatherayrisburnell.com.

About the Illustrator: Hazel Quintanilla lives in Guatemala. Hazel always knew she wanted to be an artist. When she was a kid, she carried a pencil and a notebook everywhere. Hazel illustrates children’s books, magazines, and games! And she has a secret: Unicorn and Yeti remind Hazel of her sister and brother. Her siblings are silly, funny, and quirky–just like Unicorn and Yeti! Connect with Hazel on Instagram.

  1. I truly need Birtle and the Purple Turtles for my collection. Not only is turtles my grandsons favorite animal (age 4) I need this as a mentor text, and to read it at my school where I am an Assistant Director. My PreK kids need books like this, plus my grandson, to learn to love reading. I am trying to create one and I just LOVE the concept of this one. I am giddy for sure and will check out all your past books! What a treasure.
